Frank passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born in Waukegan, IL a son of Frank J and Violet M. (Lockert) Michel, Sr. He lived in Kalamazoo for most of his life and worked as a pipe fitter for Georgia Pacific, retiring in 2001. In his free time Frank enjoyed bowling and playing bingo and poker. On October 29, 1960 Frank married the former Reva N. Smith who preceded him in death on January 26, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Lynn Carr. He is survived by two daughters, Eva (Scott) Heystek of Augusta and JoAnn Werkema of Hastings; nine grandchildren, Ashley Boltjes, Derek Puzio, Rhett Puzio, Gary Moss, Greg Moss, Kevin Branham, Robert Wolfe, Heather Stark and Heidi Banning; thirteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three siblings, Darlene (Bob) Snyder of Mattawan, Marvin (Jean) Michel of Kalamazoo and Althea Michel of Delton; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 11AM on Thursday, February 15th at the Kalamazoo Missionary Church, 5045 E. Michigan Ave., where services will begin at 12 Noon with Pastor Ken Smeader, officiating. Private burial services will be held in Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. Memorials may be directed to Kairos Dwelling.
