Passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 27, 2017. He was the husband of LaWanda Joyce Dare and shared 57 years of marriage together. David was born in Evansville, Indiana and was the son of Edward Sherman Dare and Anna Marie Dare. A graduate of Vincennes University, BS from Evansville University and received his Master's Degree from Wichita State University. He had a long and distinguished career in Healthcare Administration and retired in 2000 from Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo Michigan. He enjoyed always staying busy and was heavily involved with the Paw Paw Village Players, both acting as well as the day to day operations of the group. Being a part time Taxidermist, Magician, Shrine Clown, Juggler and an expert balloon animal creator he could not stand not being busy. He enjoyed hunting as a lifelong passion and always said he was born a little too late to be a Mountain Man! He is survived by his loving wife Wanda, Sons Scott and wife Vicki, Dan and wife Cathy, Steve and Kari as well as 8 grandchildren Keifer Bear, Nicholas Biancardi, Emily Dare and Skyler Dare, Brett Dare, Marissa Dare, Alexus Smith and Peyton Dare with 3 great grandchildren Kyler Dare, Bradley Bear and Jeremy Mills and his grand dogs Bosco, Bella, Maddie and Harley. There will be a celebration of his life on November 18th from noon to 4:00pm at 27566 Manchester Circle, Paw Paw, Michigan 49079. In lieu of flowers, Dave asked that you make a donation to your local hospice organization who gave him such great care the past four months of his life, or to the Paw Paw Village Players which he loved so much. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
