Laura is one of our excellent medical social workers and she went out of her way several times in the last month to have hard conversations about end of life and has gone to the Hospital and patient homes after hours to help guide discussions and facilitate family conferences. She stayed till early morning with a family that needed her support while waiting for the funeral home that was 5 hours away to arrive. She does all of this with a cheerful, helpful and respectful attitude.
