At Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, we remain committed to the health and safety of the families we serve, our employees, and our community. We want to assure you that we continue to take proactive measures to help prevent the spread of any potential illness. We are actively following the guidelines outlined by the State of Michigan, the National Funeral Directors Association, and the CDC. At this time our service offerings are modified as explained below:
For the safety of the families we serve, our staff and our communities, we are implementing the following starting Saturday, June 19, 2021:
Masks are not required to be worn by all guests who have received vaccinations but are required for those who have not.
Gatherings may take place within our funeral homes in accordance with the attendance limitations of the current mandate. Please call to speak with one of our funeral directors to learn how we can plan gatherings, services and events for your family while adhering to the guest capacity within each location.
Visitors and family members are encouraged to follow social distancing guidelines and keep a distance of 6 feet apart, avoid handshakes/hugs, and give only non-contact sympathy and condolences to limit the spread of illness.
Our facilities are cleaned after every family visit and throughout the day. This includes disinfecting all surfaces including doorknobs, light switches, handrails, countertops, computers/tablets and phones with antibacterial/antiviral cleaning agents in accordance with mandated guidelines. Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the facility.
All members of our Langeland staff and family are required to practice safe hygiene and sanitizing methods within the offices and will not report to work if they show any signs of illness.
We kindly ask families who have cared for a loved one showing signs of illness, individuals who are themselves showing signs of illness, or those individuals who are at higher risk of contracting illness, to not come into the facility - rather call the office at 269-343-1508. We will discuss how we can best serve your needs and answer any questions you may have.
Sincerely, The Langeland Family
