Comstock, MI Age 70, passed away at Sue's Loving Care on June 17, 2015. Vivian was born January 27, 1945 in Hastings, MI, the daughter of the late Gerald and Helen Bogart Thompson. Vivian was a nice, loving, sweet, caring friend, who loved Elvis Presley and NASCAR racing. On November 29, 1996, she was united in marriage to Leon Krause in Kalamazoo. Vivian is survived by her husband of 18 years; three children, Wayne Ann Carpenter, Jr. of Cadillac, Terry Carpenter of Wayland, Brenda James Johnson of Wyoming; two step-children, Travis Krause of Kalamazoo and Theresa Goff of Louisiana; and 9 grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Jerry Stephanie Thompson of Wayland, Merle Leslie Thompson of Wayland, Joyce Haywood of Wayland, Joann Terry Van Volkenberg of Hopkins, Ann Thompson of Sturgis, and Randy Roxanne Thompson of Wayland; and former daughter-in-law, Sally. Vivian is preceded in death by her brother, David Thompson and brother-in-law, Larry Haywood. Burial will take place at a later date. A service will be held among family. Donations can be made to Leon to help with final expenses.
