Of Kalamazoo Died April 25, 2011. Valeria was born October 14, 1919 in Kalamazoo, a daughter of Peter and Agness Majdan and was a lifelong Kalamazoo resident. She was preceded in death by her husband Ford in 1979 and by a brother Eugene Majdan. Surviving are a son Richard Edith Strong; 3 grandchildren, Carrie Fielder, Rich Strong and Eric Kabel; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Edward Majdan and Richard Carolyn Tyburski; several dear nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St. with Msgr. Michael Hazard, Celebrant.
