Mattawan Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter and sister, Tina passed
away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2008 at her home. She was born October 31, 1962 in
Kalamazoo, the daughter of Howard and Sandra Slager McLaughlin and had lived in
Mattawan for many years. She was preceded in death by her mother. Tina is survived by her husband, David; children, James Constance Vander Berg of Mattawan, Craig Valerie Smith of Watervliet, Joshua Fiancée, Sally Smith of Portage and Jennifer Kenneth Underwood of Mattawan; grandchildren, David, Dylan, Katelyn, Brandon, Xavier, Cassandra, Kaitlin, April, Brooke, Shelby, Dale, Zachary, Isaiah, Alyssa, Kyaine, Gage, Matthew, Blake and one soon to be born; great granddaughter, Nariah; her father,
Howard McLaughlin of Decatur, AL; brother, Jeff McLaughlin of Decatur, AL; sister,
Kelley Summeral of Hartsell, AL; nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be
conducted at 1:00 PM Friday at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan with Rev. Scott
Hollebrands, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral
Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S 9th St. Thursday from 6-8 PM.
