Formerly of Kalamazoo Passed away Friday, July 27, 2007 in Kalamazoo. She was born July 27, 1919 in Flowerfield, MI the daughter of Laverne A. and Nola D. Beebe Percy and had lived in Kalamazoo for many years. She had worked for Quality Bakery in Kalamazoo for 3 years and National Water Lift for 13 years. On April 8, 1939 she married Carl Priester, who preceded her in death on October 25, 1997. She was also preceded by two brothers and two sisters. Ruth is survived by her children, Gordon Lee Joan Priester of Newton, NC, David Carl Sharon Priester of Bloomington, IL and Glenn Arden Sandra Priester of Lawton; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. followed by interment at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 AM until service time.
