KUIPER, Roelfien "Ruth"
of Portage, MI Passed away July 20, 2009 at Tendercare, Portage. She was born October 15, 1911 in Wedde, Netherlands, to the late Harm and Trijntje Heidekamp Hazelhoff. Ruth was united in marriage on May 16, 1936, to Hendrik Kuiper, who preceded her in death in July of 1997. Ruth was very family oriented and enjoyed being a homemaker as well as enjoying her many friends. She was a member of the Portage Senior Center and Young at Heart Club. Surviving Ruth are her children, Bernard Diane Kuiper of Delton, Angie Bob Diver of Kalamazoo and Tena Bruce and friend, Terry of Bitely, MI.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were her siblings. A visitation will be Thursday, July 23rd from 10:00am - 12:00 noon at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. Cremation will follow. Memorials may be directed in Ruth's name, to the American Cancer Society or to Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes.
