Galesburg, MI Died Sunday afternoon May 29, 2011 at his residence. Robert was born September 20, 1919 in Eau Claire, Michigan a son of Lester and Rhea Roberts Mitchell. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident for over 30 years. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and a sister. He is survived by Rhea Burrell of Kalamazoo; and several other nieces and nephews, Lamont, Stanley, Shane, Jamie, Jeffery, Joey, Jay, Connie, and Kenneth. Private graveside services will be held in Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, MI. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
