TERBURG, Richard "Skip"
Of Scotts, Michigan Skip passed away Sunday morning, September 7, 2008 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born June 18, 1947, in Kalamazoo, the son of William and Betty Taylor Terburg. A 1965 Graduate of Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo; Skip was employed by General Motors Corp. in Kalamazoo for 32 years until his retirement in 1998. During his retirement, he worked for Doris Klaussen Development Center. Skip was an active member of Westwood Church of God, where he was a youth leader and a member of the Board of Trustees. He was also a member of Board of Directors for Warner Memorial Camp, and Stephen Ministries Leader. Skip was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing and fishing. Most importantly, he loved his family. On December 18, 1993, he was united in marriage to Carol Moore in Kalamazoo, who survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Ammie Andrue Hill of Kalamazoo, Tammy Kenneth Meade of Vermontville, and Rob Christy Moore of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren, Sabrina Busch, Jonathan Jamie Stafford, Joshua Stafford, and Ethan Moore; and 1 great-grandchild, Kadyn Stafford; and numerous other family members and loved ones. Friends may visit with the family for a time of fellowship from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Thursday at Westwood Church of God, 811 Gorham Lane, with a memorial service at 5:30 PM, with Rev. Jerry D. Lewis, officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to Westwood Church of God - Youth Group.
