Kalamazoo Ramona passed away on Saturday evening, May 9, 2015 at Kairos Dwelling. She was born on September 16, 1924 in Francitas, TX. She was employed by Bronson Hospital until her retirement and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband, Alfredo García; 5 children, John Sue Gonzales, Michael Gutierrez, Jesse Olivares, Angelita David Kolodzieczyk and Albert Sue Olivares; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren 3 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Irene Escobedo, and Dominga Gutierrez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Guadalupe and Tranquilino Gutierrez; 2 sisters, Elvira Ruelas and Guadalupe Deanda; brother, Ole Campos; 1 grandchild, Janine Kolodzieczyk; and 1 great-grandchild, Yousuf Basudan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 13, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake Street, with Msgr. Michael Hazard celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Kairos Dwelling.
