LEONARD, Ralph "Ruzty" "Homely the Clown"
of Comstock, MI Passed away October 19, 2009 at Rose Arbor Hospice Care. He was born July 31, 1952 in Kalamazoo, to Ernest and Lorean Ray Leonard. Ruzty served in the U.S. Army from February of 1969 until honorably discharged in February of 1976. Among his service awards were the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Papa loved his grandkids. He liked to make people smile. He loved to clown around, go fishing, to flea markets and racing and loved playing music with his friends. His favorite saying was, "One man's junk is another man's gold". Surviving Ruzty are his children, Tracy Michael Williams of Portage, Todd Adriane Leonard of Slinger, WI and Rodd Keri Leonard of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Hunter, Chase, Jersey, Carson, Logan, Parker and Pierson; his former wife, Crystal Honicutt Leonard; his parents, Lorean and Darius Trivett; brothers, Clarence "Pee Wee" Judy Leonard and Tim Laurie Leonard; several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his father. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 4 - 7:00p.m. at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Hwy. No services are scheduled.
