of Portage, Michigan Died March 19, 2014 at Bronson Hospital. Age 86. Peter was born in Little Chute, WI on August 4, 1927, the son of the late Richard Peeters and Ann Weyenberg Peeters. He served with the United States Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Princeton. He was a charter member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Agnes Peeters; one son and four daughters, Jeff Peeters of Republic, MO, Peggy Roger Bushee of Hamilton, MT, Kim Kevin Gingerich of Garland, TX, Joan Mike Erickson of Bangor and Donna Bob Darling of Little Rock, AR; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Heiss; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1150 W. Centre Avenue, Portage, MI 49024. Rev. Fr. Robert Creagan will officiate. Private entombment will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul or St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
