Portage, Michigan Passed away April 12, 2008 at Heartland Health Care Center in Kalamazoo. Norman was born January 16, 1929 in Florence, AL to the late William M and Agnes G. Burden Bryant. Norman was united in marriage to Patsy Nieboer on March 27, 1961 in Elkhart, IN, Patsy survives him. Also surviving Norman are his children, Gary N. Bryant of Portage, Tona Lowe of Pikeville, NC and Michelle Antwan Nix of Kalamazoo; 9 grandchildren, Joanna, Karmina, Stephanie, Nicole, Maggie, Lloyd, Jeremy, Mikeal and Tiara; 2 great grandchildren, Mason and Mya; sisters, Vera Norwood and Clara Davenport; daughter-in-law, Miriam Bryant; former spouse, Dorothy Tyler; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was a sister, Maggie Faye Bryant. Norman loved his family, enjoyed traveling in his motor home or motorcycle and they knew him to have a strong love for hunting. Visitation will be held at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, on Tuesday, the 15th, from 6 - 8:00PM. Services will be held at the Westside Chapel on Wednesday, the 16th at 1:00PM. Interment to follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
