Fulton Passed away Friday, November 11, 2011. He was born November 30, 1956 in Kalamazoo, the son of Robert H. "Mike" and Joyce Ayers Steele and had lived in the Fulton area for many years. He was employed by the Kalamazoo County Road Commission for several years and in his spare times, loved to hunt and fish. He was an avid outdoorsman, a horseman who was involved in barrel racing, and enjoyed playing cards with his friends. On August 13, 1976, he married Kathy Jewell, who survives. He is also survived by their children, Ty Dana Steele of Portage and Shayne Jeffrey Clements of Battle Creek; 3 grandchildren, Ella, Colin and Jacob; his mother, Joyce Steele of Plainwell; a sister, Cindy Glenn Hokenmair of Cooper Township; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 1993 and his sister, Suzy Steele in 1976.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the Scotts United Methodist Church, 8458 Wallene St., with Pastor Glenn Litchfield officiating. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple St. on Tuesday from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
