VANOVERLOOP, Martha
of Kalamazoo Passed away October 30, 2011 in Kalamazoo. She was born June 30, 1905 in Kalamazoo to the late John and Effie Sikkenga Schuring. She was united in marriage to Abraham Overloop in 1926. Abraham preceded her in death in 1945. Later, she remarried, to John VanOverloop who also preceded her in death. Martha was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo and a longtime member of Hope Reformed Church. Surviving Martha are her children, John Wanda Overloop and Marvin Virginia Overloop both of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren, Denise, Michael, Gary and Laura; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding Martha in death were, a grandson, Jamie "Jim"; and 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 2-4 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where services will take place on Wednesday at 1:00 o'clock. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials in Martha's name may be directed to Hope Reformed Church.
