DOOLITTLE, Marilann "Mimi"
VanAtta of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Sunday evening, August 10, 2008 at her residence. Mimi was born July 30, 1950 in Ann Arbor, MI the daughter of Joseph, Sr. and Dorothy Forner Steele. She was an artistic person and worked for Superior Imaging for 28 years. Mimi was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and enjoyed photography, genealogy, and quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ronald VanAtta; and a brother, Joseph Steele, Jr. On October 3, 1997 she was united in marriage to her loving husband Jim Doolittle who survives. Also surviving are 4 step-children, Terry Kay Doolittle, Debbie Steve Sangellie, Carol Doolittle, Rodney Thu Doolittle; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 4 brothers and a sister, Richard Margaret Steele, Paul Mary Steele, Don Hazel Steele, Tim Colleen Steele, Keri Tim Johnson; a sister-in-law, Ruthanne Steele; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass to celebrate Mimi's life will be held 11:00AM Wednesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1628 East G Ave, with Fr. James O'Leary, Celebrant. Friends may meet the family at the church from 10-11 prior to the service. Cremation will follow services.
