MAHIEU, Mrs. Marian
Kalamazoo, MI Died Saturday afternoon January 19, 2013. Marian was born August 23, 1917 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Pierce and Blanche Staley Stearns. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was a member of the Westwood United Methodist Church and Charter member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward J Mahieu on October 30, 1999; and 2 brothers, Robert and Donald Stearns. She is survived by 2 sons, Edward J Sally Mahieu Jr. and Jack Gayle Mahieu all of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Irene Stearns of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o'clock Wednesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest South Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or the Westwood United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
