Marian Laws

LAWS, Marian Kalamazoo Passed away, Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. Marian was born on July 3, 1935 in Kalamazoo, to the late John and Jennie Stillman Meints. A graduate from Kalamazoo Christian Schools, Marian went on to become a bookkeeper for R.M. Jones Gift Shop. She married William ?Bill? Laws on August 5, 1955 who survives. Marian loved The Lord and her family above all else. She was a longtime member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, for which she was also their pianist for many years. She also enjoyed spending time with her sister, Grace. Marian had a keen interest in the many different kinds of lighthouses in and around Michigan. She also enjoyed bird-watching. She is survived by her; children, Sharon Larry Bowerman of Mattawan, Carol Williams of Vicksburg, Gary Dianne Laws of Bangor and Kenneth Mary Laws of Mattawan; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Mitchel Shirley Meints and Frank Elaine Meints and; sister, Grace Robert Jones; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were; brothers, Herman and Edward. Services will take place, Saturday, 11:00AM, at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Cork Street, Kalamazoo. Visitation will take place, Friday, 6-8:00PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be sent in Marian?s name, to Bethlehem Baptist Church.
