Of Kalamazoo Margaret died Friday morning, November 26, 2010, in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born October 16, 1916, in Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter of Tom and Tillie Veldt Potgiesser and had been a lifelong area resident. Margaret was a member of Twin Lakes Reformed Church and had worked for the Brown Paper Company for many years. On March 21, 1941, Margaret was united in marriage with Adolph Holtman who preceded her in death on December 15, 1986. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Andrew, John, Harm, Richard and Thomas Potgiesser and a sister, Angie Greendyke. Margaret is survived by: three daughters, Shirley Bernard Westra of Kalamazoo, Linda Hurley of Portage and Judy John Kline of Oshtemo; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy, Alice, Dorothy and Shirley Potgiesser; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-8pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Services will be held 11:00 Monday morning at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Lugten, officiating. Private burial will be held in West Cooper Cemetery. Memorials should be directed to Twin Lakes Reformed Church, Memorial Fund or to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
