Kalamazoo, MI Loknath Varma, age 82, passed away Saturday morning October 26, 2013 in Kalamazoo. He lived in Kalamazoo since 1971 where he was an engineer and served as president of D.M.S. Electric. Loknath was active in the business community and Indo American Cultural Center and Temple of Kalamazoo. He is survived by his wife, Chander Varma; two daughters Atul Brij Dewan of Kalamazoo and Asim Varma of Washington, DC; a granddaughter Karuna Dewan and a grandson, Sujay Dewan. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon at 12:30 at the Indo American Cultural Center and Temple of Kalamazoo, 2002 Ramona Ave. A luncheon will follow the service. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street.
