Were United with God on July 5, 2013. Lisa was born on May 23, 1974, the daughter of Andres Herrera and Patricia (Delis) Linderman. Max was born to Lisa on February 7, 2012. Lisa graduated from Hackett Catholic Central High School and then studied Speech Pathology at Western Michigan University, where she received her Bachelors Degree, her National Certificate in Secondary Education and her Masters Degree. She was employed as a Speech Pathologist by Battle Creek Public Schools. Lisa was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. Lisa and Max are survived by Lisa's parents, Andres (Cheryl) Herrera of Kalamazoo and Patricia (Michael) Linderman; grandmother, Sarah L. Herrera of Kalamazoo; brothers, Andres (Denise) Herrera III of Bradenton, FL, Lucas (Paige) Herrera of Kalamazoo, Philip Linderman of Battle Creek and Matthew Linderman of Kalamazoo; and special friends, Judy and Lauren Burrows. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Andres Herrera Sr., Delores and Gerald Myers. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where a scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St. Rev. Msgr. Michael Hazard will officiate with interment in Hope Cemetery in Texas Township. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, YWCA Domestic Assault Program or a charity of the donors choice in memory of Lisa and Max.
