of Kalamazoo Katherine passed away Thursday morning, June 14, 2012 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born January 24, 1930 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Waldo and Luetta Moss Irwin. Katherine graduated from Western Michigan University in 1953. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Martin "Dan" McDermott; three children, Kathleen Philip Claypool Dekker, Danny Debbie McDermott, Lynetta Kurt McCamman; 9 grandchildren; 9.7 one coming in August great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Byrd and Loretta Runyon.
