Kalamazoo Passed away February 27, 2008 at Tendercare of Westwood. Josephine was born November 13, 1922 in Watervliet, MI, the daughter of Joseph and Naomi Schied and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for most of her life. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed caring for her 2 grandchildren and working in her flower garden. She and her husband Donald enjoyed traveling after their retirement. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Thomas and a sister Wanda Pomeroy. Surviving are her husband of over 60 years, Donald E. Waldron to whom she was married on March 16, 1946. Also surviving are a son William E. Waldron and his wife Starr of Kalamazoo; 2 grandchildren, Nicholas E. Waldron and Colby D. Waldron; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:00 o'clock Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with the Rev. James Dyke officiating. Interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Josephine's memory may be made to Meals on Wheels.
