Josephine Razenberg

RAZENBERG, Josephine Josephine Razenberg, age 90, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 29, 2012. Josephine was born July 1, 1922, in Fillmore Township, MI, the daughter of Henry and Ada Boeve Bonselaar and has been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. On June 13, 1947, she was united in marriage to T. John Razenberg and they were blessed with two daughters, Patricia and Sandra. Josephine was employed as a hairdresser with Langeland Family Funeral Homes for over 67 years and with Ridgeview Nursing Home for 13 years. She was a longtime active charter member of Heritage Christian Reformed Church. Family was a very important part of Josephine's life. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Julius and Elmer and by her daughter, Patricia Molenaar. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, John Razenberg of Kalamazoo; a daughter, Sandra James Laning; a son-in-law, Thomas Molenaar; grandchildren, Amy Triezenberg, Jeffrey Christine Molenaar, Rebecca Keith DeVisser; Michael Mandy Laning, Sara Creech, Stacy Wes Cook and Lindsay Gabe Arellano; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Brittany, Alexis, Evan, Katelyn, Ja'Shaun, Daniel, Preston, Owen and Cameron; her two sisters, Wilma Bultje and Hester Koning; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 2nd from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 3rd at Heritage Christian Reformed Church 2857 South 11th Street with Rev. Simon Tuin officiating. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials in Josephine's memory may be directed to Heritage Christian Reformed Church or Alzheimer's Association.
