formerly of Kalamazoo, MI Passed away December 7, 2014 in Venice, FL. He was born October 17, 1920 in Kalamazoo to the late Peter and Katherine Robyn Kreeger. He was united in marriage to his loving wife, the former Barbara Buder, on November 10, 1939. John, with his wife Barbara, owned The Green Top Tavern and Red-E-Coin Laundromat for many years. He will be sorely missed. Surviving John are his children, Carol Jeanne Jack Butler of Venice, FL and John William "Bill" Kreeger, Jr. of Three Rivers, MI; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy William Brown of Curtis, MI; and several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Kreeger; and brother, M. L. Kreeger. John was an avid and still frequent golfer at the age of 89, and proudly, often scoring lower than his son, Bill and son in law, Jack . A memorial service will be Saturday, June 27, 2015, 1:00 o'clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Memorials in John's name may be directed to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34328.
