Portage, MI Passed away April 25, 2011 in Kalamazoo. She was born October 20, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Thaddeus and Hilda Herrmann Duczyminski who preceded her in death. She relocated to the Kalamazoo area 5 years ago to be near her brother, Don Carol Duczyminski who survives. She is also survived by nieces, Christine of Traverse City and Karen of Portage and nephew, James of Traverse City, and a great niece, Sydney of Traverse City. Joann truly enjoyed greeting customers and making friends at Meijer on Shaver Rd. where she had been employed for the past 4 years. Services will be held 1 o'clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Center Ave. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday. Private interment will be in Cadillac Memorial Garden West Cemetery, Westland, MI at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Borgess Foundation Patient Assistance Fund. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
