Jerald David Curtiss was born April 18, 1949, in Battle Creek, the son of Jerald and Dortha Venetti Curtiss and died October 28, 2010, in Kalamazoo. He attended McKercher and Kennedy Centers and was employed with the YMCA for several years. Jerry is survived by his mother, Dortha Curtiss; his brother James A. Curtiss, Sr.; nephews, James A. Jr., Isaac, Nathaniel, Christopher and Dominick Curtiss. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerald L. Curtiss. Visitation will be 1-2 PM Monday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. where a service will begin at 2:00 PM Monday with Pastor Dana Arledge officiating. A private burial will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. www.langelands.com
