HENWOOD, James
of Kalamazoo Passed away peacefully at his residence, April 11, 2010. Jim was born September 2, 1932 in Kalamazoo, MI the son of James C. and Alice Keim Henwood. He graduated from Portage High School in 1952. He married the former Adriana "Mickey" VanDyke on November 22, 1952, who survives. Jim also leaves 3 loving daughters, Susan Lynn Hamilton of Cottage Grove, WI, Michelle Mike Costello and Lisa Scott Fitzpatrick, both of Kalamazoo; and 8 grandchildren, Trevor, Tara, Kelsie, Rachelle, Troy, Stephanie, Paul and Hannah; step-grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Kelly and Kori; 5 great grandchildren; 4 step-great grandchildren; and 7 cousins. Jim worked many years in Engineering at Roto-Finish, Co., and retired from V. L. Rampe and worked a short time at Rosler Co. He loved sailing his boat and being at his place in South Haven in the summers. Jim is also a new member at Calvary Reformed Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, with his pastor Greg Van Heukelom, officiating. Visitation will also be at the Westside Chapel on Tuesday from 6-8:00 o'clock and again on Wednesday from 10-11:00 o'clock. Cremation will follow services.
