Kalamazoo, Michigan Jack passed away Wednesday evening, August 20, 2008. He was born November 29, 1928 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Ira and Julia Paradine Warner. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp. Air Force, serving during World War II. He was employed by the United States Postal Service for 30 years, until his retirement. During his retirement, Jack delivered flowers for Longjohn's Floral Shoppe and Greenhouse for 10 years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan. Preceding him in death are his wife and love of his life, Gayle Polmanteer Warner on June 20, 2008; his parents; and 1 brother, Robert L. Warner. Surviving are his daughter, Pamela Wayne Swiler of Lake Odessa; granddaughter, Amanda Lake of Holt; 2 sisters, Jo Ann Gibbons of Whitmore Lake, and Myra Barney Funderburk of Alexandria, LA; dear friends, James and Vera Bogan; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Jack will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 26, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Pastor Mark Jarvie officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Private interment will be in Almena Cemetery.
