Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008. Irene was born March 6, 1919 in Georgetown, AR, a daughter of Eli Orwin and Ida ParsonsSell. She was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School, Kalamazoo State Hospital School of Nursing and Western Michigan University. Irene was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Alpha Beta Epsilon Sorority and M.A.G.E. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edward R. Cripe in 1967; 4 sisters; and brother. Her survivors include her daughters, Margaret Mc Cabe of Grand Junction and Janet Pat Marble of Mesick, MI; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Rev. John Hill officiating. Interment will take place in East Cooper Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 PM and on Monday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be directed to the Kalamazoo Humane Society or any animal shelter facility. www.langelands.com 343-1508
