Henrietta was born December 15, 1934, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Henry and Cornelius VanDalen Griffioen, Sr. and passed away November 16, 2010 at her residence. A lifelong area resident, she loved living at her home in the country, where she enjoyed farming her one acre garden. She was employed as a nurse's aide with a nursing home and in-home care; also she had also been employed by Meijers. Surviving are her three children, Sharon Shields of Yankee Springs, Cindy DeHaan of Manistee, Randy Kloosterman; four grandchildren; a sister, Maudy Hackett of Centreville; a brother, Henry Henrietta Griffioen, Jr. of Portage; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, John Griffioen. In accordance with Henrietta's wishes there will be no visitation or services. Memorials in Henrietta's memory may be directed to Hospice Care of SW Michigan.
