RADISCH, Helen
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Helen Radisch, 89, passed away on the morning of October 3, 2013 in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born November 4, 1923 in Harrisburg, IL, the daughter of Orval and Edna Gross. On May 15th, 1946, she was united in marriage to her loving husband John, who preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 2005. They lived most of their lives in Elgin, IL before moving to Kalamazoo in 1999 to be close to family. Helen was also preceded in death by her brothers Harry and Arthur Gross. Helen was always quick to laugh, smile and share fun times with anyone that she met. She has inspired all of us to be content with what we have and to show love and kindness to everyone. We will all remember the fun that she had at the family gatherings and her genuine spirit. She is survived by her son Gregory Ruth Hodge Radisch and her daughter Lynne Charlie Konett of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Zachary ML, Nicholas Julie, Ethan Tracy and Maggie Konett; and 4 step grandchildren. Helen also had 7 wonderful great grandchildren who enriched her life and theirs. A committal service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2:30 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend should arrive in the Cortege Area of the cemetery, between 2:15 - 2:30. A family celebration of Helen's life will be held at a later date.
