EDWARDS, Harriet
Of Kalamazoo Harriet passed away Wednesday morning, April 21, 2010 at Kairos Dwelling. She was born October 14, 1924 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of the late Edsel and Tilly Ketchel Kershenbaum. On February 4, 1951, she was united in marriage to Alfred Edwards in Detroit. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Alfred; three daughters, Barbara Bruce Patrick, Lyn Edwards, and Carrie Jim Edwards-Welsh; six grandchildren, Scott Patrick, Allison Patrick, Jenni Covert, Eric Welsh, Joshua Welsh, and Sarah Welsh; two brothers, Belmont Gert Kershenbaum, and Aaron Diane Kershenbaum. Funeral services for Harriet will be at 10:00 AM on Friday tomorrow at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, with Rabbi Harvey Spivak officiating. Interment will follow in Jewish Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Kairos Dwelling or Borgess Visiting Nurse and Hospice Services.
