of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away October 3, 2009 at Bronson Hospital. She was born November 15, 1932 in Kalamazoo, to the late Jacob and Jacoba Maring Sluys. Harmina was united in marriage on April 19, 1952, to Robert Terpstra, who preceded her in death in 1989. Harmina graduated from Kalamazoo Christian High School and was a longtime member of Northern Heights Christian Reformed Church. Also surviving Harmina are her children and spouses, William Chris Terpstra of Kalamazoo, Steve Deborah Terpstra of Kalamazoo, Cynthia Don Potts of Plainwell and Kathy Terpstra Dave Mull of Niles; grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica and Emily Terpstra, Jeff Kelly Terpstra, Stephanie Craig Gernaat, David Tricia Zuiderveen, Angela Mark Forward, Carrie Eric Boley, Michael Zuiderveen, Elizabeth and Jacob Randall and Jesse Boven; great grandchildren, William, Dawson, Reagan and Ellory Zuiderveen, Lydia Boley and Reese Gernaat; her sisters, Martha Kiel and Grace Cook; and special friend, Conrad "Sonny" Markle. A visitation will be Monday, October 5th from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8:00 p.m. at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. A private, family committal service will be at West Cooper Cemetery. A Memorial Service will take place Tuesday, October 6th , 2:00 p.m. at Fourth Reformed Church, 6339 Atlantic Dr. Memorials may be directed to Kalamazoo Christian Schools Association or a charity of one's choice.
