STREICH, Mrs. Grace
Of Kalamazoo, Michigan Went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Grace was born August 3, 1919, in Highland, Indiana, the daughter of Heny and Wilhelmina Hartog Rinsema and has been a resident of Kalamazoo since 1956. For over 20 years she was employed as a social worker with Family & Children Services. Grace was a former member of Third Christian Reformed Church and currently was a member of Second Reformed Church where she attended Bible Study Fellowship. She was also involved with Crossroads Prison Ministry. On September 9, 1961, Grace was united in marriage to Harold E. Streich who preceded her in death on March 26, 1981. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Lois Nykamp and Beverly Sly; two brothers, Lee and Jud Rinsema. Surviving are a daughter, Saundra David Ives of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Rinsema of Minnesota; a sister, Carolyn Gar VanHal of Illinois; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 PM and Monday from 12-1 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, where a Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Monday with her grandson, Pastor Kenneth Koning officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials in Grace's memory may be directed to The Mission Society, P.O.
