Mattawan, MI Passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at the age of 85. Gayle was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania on February 3, 1929, the daughter of the late William and Mary Smith Pierce. She enjoyed reading, painting with watercolors and crocheting. She was married to Robert Herrington for 66 years; he preceded her in death in 2011. Gayle is survived by three sons, Richard and Joan Herrington, William Roy Herrington and Howard and Toni Herrington; five grandchildren, Emily, Sarah, Melinda, Andrew and Noah; three great-grandchildren, Megan, Payton and Brave; many nieces and nephews; and her two brothers-in-law, Howard and Bill Herrington. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Chad; five sisters and one brother. Cremation has taken place and no service is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
