Gary Uptgraft

Died December 22, 2013 at age 75. Gary was born May 23, 1938 in Kalamazoo to the late Wayne L. and Ruth M. Rinehart Uptgraft. He was united in marriage to Garnett Diane Croy on September 12, 1959, who survives. Gary served in the U.S. Army until honorably discharged. He worked as a tool and die operator at General Motors for over 30 years. Gary is survived by his wife, Diane Uptgraft; children, Merisa Uptgraft, Tamara Uptgraft, Emily David Wilson and Eve David Thompson; grandchildren, Justin Amanda Wilson, Michael Wilson, Jessica Haas, Andrew Uptgraft, Theo Thompson, LeRissa Thompson, Davonna Thompson and Marcia Thompson; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Tom Joanne Uptgraft and Larry Uptgraft; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Wayne "Bud" Uptgraft and David Uptgraft; and sister, Sally "Peach" Waite. The family will greet friends on Friday from 11-1:00 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Hwy., where the funeral service will take place at 1:00. Burial will follow in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek. Memorials may be directed to the family.
