Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009. Gail was born May 30, 1949 in Potsdam, NY, the daughter of Robert D. and Arlene Frank Newton, had graduated from Utica High School and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for the past six years. She was preceded in death by her parents. Gail is survived by her husband, Robert Taylor; her children, David Geralyn Hovey of Detroit, Jerome Hovey of Kalamazoo, Christopher Taylor of Kalamazoo, Catherine Taylor fiancé, Peter Spezia of Galesburg and Michael Taylor of Kalamazoo; 7 grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, James Newton and Richard Theresa Newton; a sister, Lisa Dan Schoener; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
