Kalamazoo, MI Died peacefully Saturday morning October 18, 2008 at home with family at his side. Frank was born February 4, 1921 in Zwolle, The Netherlands a son of Evert and Elsje VandenBerg Selles. Prior to his retirement in 1983 he was employed with State of Michigan as a psychiatric nurse and was a member of Third Reformed Church. Frank enjoyed his many years of volunteer work with the Red Cross, traveling and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Hermiena, his daughter Elsje Kus and a grand daughter Nichole Kus. Surviving are his daughter, Connie Selles and her husband Peter Czuk; grand children, Ryan Kus and his wife Rachel, Audrey Selles-Czuk, and Racheal Selles-Czuk, his sisters, Henny Boer of Kalamazoo and Janny Wallett-Selles of The Netherlands, and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan-Paw Paw office or the American Red Cross.
