of Portage Frank passed away early Sunday morning, January 27, 2013 at Kairos Dwelling. He was born on November 9, 1927 in Kalamazoo. Frank was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was employed by Georgia-Pacific Kalamazoo Mill for 44 years until his retirement. He and Helen M. Chambers Holport were married on September 13, 1969, and they spent 43 wonderful years together. She survives. He is also survived by their daughter and son-in-law Jim and Teresa Holport McFarland of Woodhaven; and two grandchildren, Emily and Austin McFarland. He was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. A memorial service will be 1 pm Friday, February 1 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 929 E. Centre Ave., Portage, The Rev. Bonnie E. Edwards, celebrant. A reception will follow at the church. A private interment will be in Mountain Home Cemetery, Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Kairos Dwelling or to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
