Kalamazoo, MI Died Thursday morning November 20, 2008. Frances was born September 17, 1920 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Everett and Myrtle Moore Gallinger. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with
The Upjohn Nursing Home for several years before retiring. Frances and her husband Vernon had been foster parents for 14 years. She was also a former member of the Comstock United Methodist Church and recently attended First Free Will Baptist Church. For many years, she was coordinator for the Comstock Food Pantry and volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Sherrie Slater on February 28, 2006. On December 10, 1938, she was united in marriage to Vernon P. Terrell who survives. Also surviving, 3 children, Phyllis James Themins of Kalamazoo, James Sharon Terrell of Winter Haven, FL, and Charles Terrell of Fennville, MI; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several cousins. A memorial service will be held 3 o'clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private burial will take place at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes, Comstock Community Center, or the First Free Will Baptist Church. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
