Florine Batchelor

BATCHELOR, Mrs. Florine Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Tuesday morning September 15, 2009 at Rose Arbor. Florine was born February 8, 1910 in Kinderhook, Illinois a daughter of Clyde and Alma Weddington. The family moved to Hannibal, Missouri where she spent her childhood years. She later moved to Kalamazoo where she was united in marriage to Richard Joel Batchelor in 1932. Florine was employed with Probasco's until she was 75. She also enjoyed her many pets, the last one being her dog, Dolly. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard J. Batchelor on January 18, 1967; and a brother, Donald Weddington. She is survived by 2 daughters, Carolyn Jim Parker and Jane Gary Waite all of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren; Linda Hampshire Randall Button, Richard Anita Parker, Pamela Steve Klok, Dawn Warner, and Jason Waite; 7 great-grandchildren, Brendan, Aaron, Samantha, Cody, Allison, Hannah and Sarah; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Monday at the Westwood United Methodist Church, 538 Nichols Rd. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Rose Arbor Hospice Program or the Westwood United Methodist Church.
