of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Tuesday morning January 24, 2012. Edward was born November 5, 1961 in Taylor, Michigan a son of Clyde and Nancy Korczyk Loope. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1985 and was employed with the City of Kalamazoo for 26 years, retiring in 2011. Edward is survived by his 2 children, Jason and Katelyn Loope of Kalamazoo; his parents, Clyde Nancy Loope of Taylor, MI; a brother, Vince Loope of Taylor, MI; a sister, Laura Loope of Taylor, MI; his former spouse, Elizabeth Loope of Kalamazoo; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Edward was a loving father and avid golfer who was respected and adored by many. Services will be held 11 o'clock Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Kalamazoo, MI. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Uof M Adult Bone Marrow Transplant BMT Clinic or the West Michigan Cancer Center.
