MARSH, Mrs. Doris
Of Kalamazoo Doris was born December 31, 1917, in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Jack and Rose Dribin Rabin and went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. For the past 3 years, Doris was lovingly cared for at Woodside of Friendship Village. She was a longtime Portage area resident who loved attending Calvary Bible Church and His Branches Sunday School, she loved learning about God's word and growing in faith. On July 11, 1941, she was united in marriage to Jack W. Marsh, who preceded her in death on November 30, 1986. She was also preceded in death by a sister Sylvia Weinstein. Surviving are her four children, Jack Beverly Marsh of Boca Raton, FL, Suzanne Ronald Schuring of Portage, Robert Marsh of Portage and Beth Dan Johnson of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Jessica Steve, Rebekah, Joshua, Alicia, Stephanie, Nathan, Matthew, Ashley, R.J., Laura and Rachel; a great-grandchild, Autumn; a brother, Marvin Rabin and a sister, Esther Greenberg. Doris' greatest joy in life was her family. Her legacy to them is one of faith, courage, sacrifice, tenderness and love. I Cor 13:13 The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Calvary Bible Church 855 S. Drake Rd. with Dr. John Barnett officiating. Interment will be in South Portage Cemetery.
