TAYLOR, Donna Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009. She was born February 1, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and had lived in Kalamazoo for many years. Donna was the Lead Business Associate of 3 North at Borgess Hospital for 16 years. Donna was a superior business woman, a friend and surrogate mother to many, was easy going, fun to be around and always cheerful. She kept people laughing, was always willing to fill in a shift when someone called in, yet had time for her family, especially her grandchildren, Alisha, Grayce, Angelina, Garrett, Katherine and Sophie, whom she loved dearly. Grandchildren were the most important part of her life and she embraced each one as a special person. Donna was a big fan of the Beatles, ever since they appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show, and Captain Jack Sparrow. She loved older country music and classical music. Donna is survived by her husband, Charles Taylor; her children, Christina Bill Crosby of Kalamazoo, Paul Karisa Miller of Mattawan, Charles Michael Taylor II and his fiancée, Kristina Feiger, of Grand Rapids and James Taylor of Portage; 6 grandchildren; a sister, Julie Michael Northrop of Portage; a brother, Ray Joy Doggett of Lansing; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00AM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. with Rev. Dennis Goodrich officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Susan Koman Breast Cancer Fund or the Borgess VNA Hospice. www.langelands.com 343-1508
