Died on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the age of 64. Donald was born in Highland Park, Michigan on October 16, 1949, the son of Arthur William and Ruth Ione Richardson Eikhoff. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Central Michigan University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the Sigma Pi Fraternity, serving as President and Treasurer. He worked as an accountant in the financial industry for many years. He enjoyed Civil War history and was a Ham radio operator, with the call sign of WD8IDJ. He and his wife, Kathy, were very active in the community, volunteering for Skywarn, races and the Kalamazoo County Sherriff's Department for communication emergencies. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kathy Titus Eikhoff; his son, Phillip Taylor Armstrong Eikhoff; his mother, Ruth Eikhoff; his sister, Luanne Eikhoff; his mother-in-law, Mary M. Titus; four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Nancy David Haas, Virginia Titus, Theresa Zuverink, Thomas Tina Titus, Mary Titus and Paul Lori Titus; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Eikhoff; his brother, Larry Eikhoff; and his father-in-law, Ronald Titus. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
