Formerly of Kalamazoo, Michigan Mrs. Losey passed away Wednesday morning, August 5, 2009 at Hearth Stone Assisted Living in Bedford, TX, where she had resided for the past few years. Dena was born February 4, 1915 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Kemp and Jennie DeLeeuw Terpstra. On August 8, 1936, she was united in marriage to Charles Losey. In 1966, they moved to Pasadena, CA until returning to Kalamazoo in 1985. She was a longtime member of Third Christian Reformed Church and member of Living Branches. Dena loved to do needlework. Preceding her in death were her husband of 60 years, Charles; her parents; her sons Charles Losey, and Ronald Losey, granddaughter, Emily Losey; 2 sisters, Jeanette Westveer and Johanna Kokmeyer; and 2 brothers, John and Marinus Terpstra. Surviving are, 1 son, Glenn Losey of Florida; 3 grandsons, Jeffrey Losey, Todd Losey and Scott Losey; 4 great-grandchildren, Brock Losey, Justin Losey, Luke Losey and Mickey Losey; 3 sisters, Jennie Rabb, Katie Boven, and Dorothy Vaughn; and daughter-in-law, Sadie Losey. Funeral services for Dena will be at 11:00 AM on Monday tomorrow at Third Christian Reformed Church, 2400 Winchell Avenue, with Rev. Margaret J. Jenista officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 PM on Sunday today at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
