Paw Paw, Michigan Dale died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his home. He was born April 10, 1935 in Kalamazoo, MI a son of Edward and Thresa Holtman Mastenbrook and had been a life long area resident. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a former member of Paw Paw Christian Reformed Church. Dale retired from the Arrow Overall Company and always considered himself a gentleman farmer. He was a wonderful handyman and able to invent or fix anything mechanical and enjoyed fishing, farming and nature. On June 2, 1956, Dale was united in marriage with the former Joyce A. Kamps, who preceded him in death on October 6, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward Mastenbrook, II and Robert Mastenbrook. Surviving are: three children, Sherry Jeff Fadel of Paw Paw, David Julie Mastenbrook of Mattawan and Chad Amy Woods Mastenbrook of Paw Paw; six grandchildren, Allisha Gavin Snyder Fadel of Paw Paw, Steven Michelle Waters Mastenbrook of Portage, Mindy Ben Wolfe of Grand Rapids, Eric Rood Sidney Stephenson of Mattawan, and Ashley and Holly Kirvan of Paw Paw; sister, Fredericka Richard Coppes of Vicksburg; twin brother, Don Gerta Mastenbrook of Paw Paw; brother, Jim Betty Mastenbrook of Gobles; a brother-in-law and five sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held 2:00 Wednesday afternoon at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., with Pastor Hendrik DeVries, officiating. Interment will follow services in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Memorials should be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
